Thread: Tankie Project Manager Needed!

I need a tankie project manager. Position is a full-time, direct hire job (i.e. not a temporary or contract assignment).

Job duties to include:

Study job specifications to assess scope of work and determine course of action to successfully complete the project.

Prepares a complete estimate for selected project with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and contracts.

Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.

Plan, organize and direct activities concerned with the project.

Schedule each project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.

Direct and supervise supervisors and workers.

Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with appropriate safety codes, construction codes, etc.

Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions with customers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors when necessary.

Interpret and explain plans and schedules with supervisors, workers and clients when necessary.

Provides technical assistance and recommends methods and equipment as required.

Manages financial aspects of the projects to assure profitability of the project as originally designed.

Performs additional related duties as directed, including but not limited to, maintaining good relationships with clients, represent company at business and/or client meetings and confers with Department heads when necessary.

Proficient knowledge of above ground storage tanks per API 650, API 653 and/or petroleum piping systems per ASME B31.3/ASMEB31.4 or API 104. API or AWS certification is a plus but not required. This position does require the individual to be available and able to travel.
